Inside the Beltway media attacks Cain

Fearing the message of Herman Cain who is shaking up the political landscape in Washington, Inside the Beltway media have begun to launch unsubstantiated personal attacks on Cain.

Dredging up thinly sourced allegations stemming from Mr. Cain’s tenure as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, political trade press are now casting aspersions on his character and spreading rumors that never stood up to the facts.

Since Washington establishment critics haven’t had much luck in attacking Mr. Cain’s ideas to fix a bad economy and create jobs, they are trying to attack him in any way they can.

Sadly, we’ve seen this movie played out before – a prominent Conservative targeted by liberals simply because they disagree with his politics.
Mr. Cain — and all Americans, deserve better.

  1. So goes the purity of politics! No one is a sinner but the one you are trailing. Gov. Palin was drug through the mud because of her strong conservative views. Having learned from that episode in American politics, we should learn to defend the candidate first, investigate thoroughly before commenting about it on the news. But the sensationalism is better than the facts. This country has forgotten the rule — innocent before guilty.

  2. We know the game as a person who beleives that we are frail Indviduals and are not without sin. I will forgive the women who took advantage of the system and filed a claim and I’ll forgive Mr Cain for calling someone honey. We knew that someone would try to destory him at least it wasn’t a gun. That said I all so know that Mr Cain has to respect any agreement that was made. He needs to find some way to address the issue and it all needs to come out.

  3. The comments above are exactly what I predicted. This attack on Cain is going to backfire on the liberal left and slide right off of Cains back. As a matter of fact, I’ll go one step further. I think this attempt to derail Cain is only going to make him more popular as people will empathize with a good man being attacked.
